If you have been enjoying the CBC show, The Best of Miniature,  you will enjoy seeing some up close and personal work being done and shown on Saturday May 13th at Daly House’s 2nd floor gallery as the Little Bits of Brandon Miniature Club helps Daly House with maintaining the Sigrid Green Dollhouse. This is a rare opportunity to get up close to the dollhouse and it’s unique miniatures while learning more about how to become a miniaturist.

” We’re honored to have Little Bits of Brandon help us to keep the dollhouse (which is on loan to Daly House from the Green Family) in good shape.”  commented Daly House president Alex Essery.

Sigrid Green’s Dollhouse Parlor

The history of the Little Bits of Brandon miniature club dated back to its creation in 1995. It started as a way for those interested in making miniatures to get together to enjoy and share their knowledge of the craft. Today, the club members from communities throughout Westman meet monthly and to take advantage of the club’s extensive library.  New members are always welcome to join.

“Skill level is not directly related to how long one has been making miniatures.” says Little Bits of Brandon President Beth Smale. ” An interest in the hobby and some learning of tips and tricks along with a creative mind is all that is needed. (Oh, and glue and tweezers and ….).”

The day long event takes place on Saturday May 13th in the Museum’s 2nd Floor Gallery from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Regular admission costs of $6.00 at the door.
